JOB SUMMARY
The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that products are available, well-presented, and effectively promoted to maximize sales and enhance customer experience. This role involves inventory management, product display, market analysis, and collaboration with sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PRODUCT PLANNING & MERCHANDISING
· Plan and implement product assortment strategies based on market trends and customer demand
· Ensure correct product placement, pricing, and display in stores or outlets
· Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stockouts or overstocking
2. VISUAL MERCHANDIZING
· Design and maintain attractive product displays in line with brand guidelines
· Ensure consistency in visual presentation across all locations
· Execute promotional displays and seasonal campaigns
3. INVENTORY & STOCK MANAGEMENT
· Track inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records
· Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
· Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain teams for timely stock delivery
4. SALES & PERFORMANCE MONITORING
· Analyze sales data to identify trends, fast-moving items, and slow-moving stock
· Support sales teams in achieving revenue targets
5. MARKET & COMPETITOR ANALYSIS
· Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product offerings
· Gather market intelligence to inform merchandising strategies
· Identify opportunities for new product introductions
6. STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION
· Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams
· Coordinate with marketing for promotional campaigns
· Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences
7. COMPLIANCE & REPORTING
· Ensure adherence to company policies and merchandising standards
· Prepare regular reports on stock, sales, and merchandising activities
· Maintain proper documentation and records
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS
· Senior High School (SHS) certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred)
· Proven experience in merchandising, retail, or sales (entry-level candidates may be considered)
· Good understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
